There are many things I like about this painting, . . .the figures seem to occupy their space comfortably. They lead you into the setting, willing you to walk with them. The little bird in the foreground is the love touch from nature I'm always looking for and the palette is lively and satisfies me. This was my little girls first hike and we walked a long way for a three year old.
Often times the finished painting falls short of our hopes, and if there is any reason I could criticise it is founded in that, . . .as with everything I do, there is a little dissapointment over the finished product.
But I'm satisfied it was the best I could do at the time.
